  13.    PLANET GROOVE from Team Hoi was the very first P.D DEMO to make

  15.    use of the new 256 colour AGA graphics mode.(even though it might 
  16.  
  17.    not look like it!)

  19.    The Demo starts of with the Team Hoi logo on the screen with a
  20.  
  21.    256 colour graduated backdrop and some rather nice fireworks 
  22.  
  23.    effects.

  25.    There is also some nice dot Sine-Scroll effects also on a 256 
  26.  
  27.    colour screen.

  29.    Right at the end of the demo there are two pictures, one of them 
  30.  
  31.    is a scene from the commercial game HOI which the Coders of this
  32.  
  33.    demo produced and the other one is of a fractal, Nothing unusual
  34.  
  35.    there, But what is nice is the fact that the two pictures are moved 
  36.  
  37.    around the screen and faded in and out of each other whilst the
  38.  
  39.    now customary scroll text scrolls accross the bottom.

  41.    All this makes up for a rather nice demo,but i'm afraid to say it
  42.  
  43.    still would'nt look out of place on an A500. But I suppose it's
  44.  
  45.    nice to see somebody making an effort!

  55.    Who remembers the old Space Invaders game?

  57.    Well this is very similar to it, only this time, you are shooting

  59.    at VIRI that have (supposed to have) infected your AMIGA!

  61.    The Aliens ar emade up of only one colour, BLACK! but the 
  62.  
  63.    background that they are on is a 256 colour drawing of what is
  64.  
  65.    supposed to be the inside of your computer!

  67.    There are FOUR different attack modes, ranging from the usual
  68.  
  69.    Space Invaders routine to a GIANT invader that attacks and when you
  70.  
  71.    shoot at it, it explodes in true PANG! fashion.

  73.    Where this game really is goos is in the sound department, with
  74.  
  75.    a few verses sampld from a METTALICA record and the quality of the
  76.  
  77.    samples are AMAZING. (Even the voices don't sound distorted ! ! !)

  87.    The good thing about Workbench 3 is the way you can add pictures

  89.    into the background,but if you are not that good at drawing, the

  91.    results can be a bit on the tacky side!

  93.    This is where this disk stands out, it contains 13 IFF images

  95.    for use as backdrops for the Workbench screen, Some of them are
  96.  
  97.    actual pictures, while some of them are the type of pictures you
  98.  
  99.    would expect to see behind the program listings on Television!

  101.    These pictures are rather nice and consist of such things as
  102.  
  103.    Waves, Marble effect and other such things.

  105.    If your into customizing your Workbench,then this disk is for 
  106.

  121.    This game will work on Workbench 2 and 3 AMIGAS, but is so good I

  123.    have decided to give it a mention here.

  125.    If you have played Supercars 2, you will know what this game is

  129.    The racetrack you are racing on is viewed from the top and you can

  131.    either have a full screen track or a split screen track which is

  133.    handy for two player games !

  135.    In between races you get to buy more equipment for your car,

  137.    e.g  New tyres or Missiles ?!

  139.    All in all this is a very well made game, and deserves to be in 
  140.  
  141.    your software collection.

  160.    Well this is the AGA version of the game !

  162.    Each card contains a DIFFERENT 256 colour picture of a young lady

  166.    The gameplay itself is exactly the same as the card game, but I

  168.    Think the computer version is more fun to play, with great graphics

  170.    and nice music.  I have been told that you can edit the pictures

  172.    that are on the cards or insert your own, but as I have'nt tried it
  173.  
  174.    yet, I don't know if this is right!
